Today Personal Digital Assistants (PDA's) become more common, more important to business users. What is interesting from a
security perspective: PDA's store more and more sensitive information!
The internal memory grows at a steady pace, but the memory cards go
through the roof in terms of capacity. The SD cards typically hold 512
MB or 1 GB, and the 2 GB models are entering the market. Also a lot of
PDA's support CF cards (compact flash). The capacity of CF cards is
even higher: latest models store 8 GB!
The
result of the increased storage in the PDA's, the amount of information
stored, synchronised in these machines grows rapidly. Therefore the
security risks increase dramatically. A PDA is lost or stolen even
faster than a notebook.
Very soon SecurePDA will be available to our customers.
