A Partition Manager can be 'dangerous' in combination with SecureNotebook software. Some partition managers modify the MBR, master boot record, and boot from a virtual floppy. Drive Image 2002 is such a program. This will result in a non bootable computer. With the assistence of our helpdesk, you will be able to recover from such a situation. Of course, it is better to prevent such a situation.
Also, sometimes, people use a partition manager software for backup purposes. This may work, as long as a the program doesn't try to compress the partiton. Some programs will automatically recognise that the partition is not compresseable. Others try anyway, if so, you will not be able to restore the partition.
Furthermore, you can' modify the size of an encrypted partition, this will result in a corrupt partition.
We do not recommend the use of partition managers or equivalents.
